Devices that enable improved quality of movement.
When the leg can’t do it on its own, the right orthosis can provide a more stable step, less pain, and more confidence and safety when walking.
At MOOR, we believe that the right orthosis is the one that meets the needs of the user.
It not only adapts to body measurements, but also enables functional action.
What is a lower limb orthosis and its impact on movement?
Lower limb orthoses are more than just a medical device.
They represent an external support intended to support, stabilize, align, prevent or correct deformities and improve the functionality of a body part, especially bones, muscles and joints.
An orthosis is not just a support – it is movement with less pain and more safety.

Conditions for which orthoses are used
Neurological conditions
Cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spina bifida, neuromuscular diseases, …
Musculoskeletal problems
Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scoliosis, …
Injuries or surgeries
Fractures, ligament injuries or joint surgeries where additional support and protection is needed
Congenital deformities
Equinovarus foot, hip dysplasia, shortening, arthrogryposis, …
Chronic pain
Low back or knee pain, caused by improper alignment or uneven weight distribution.
How do orthoses help?
Orthoses are not just intended to provide support, but actively help with better movement, maintaining activity and well-being.
They improve the quality of movement patterns, posture and movement.
Stability and secure support
Correcting alignment and relieving joint strain
Rehabilitation after injury or surgery
Improving mobility and independence
Correction of incorrect anatomical position
Pain relief
Injury prevention
Reducing the risk of new injuries
Advanced joint mechanisms
With the option of locking for added stability or dynamic designs for free movement.
Lightweight and durable materials
Thoughtful design and precision manufacturing for reliable use.
Waterproof models
Suitable for everyday use and greater freedom of movement in all conditions.
Individual approach
We take into account muscle strength, range of motion, therapeutic goals and daily needs.
MOOR orthoses for better movement
At MOOR, we manufacture individually tailored lower limb orthoses that support movement, stability and proper body alignment.
They are designed to make walking easier, improve balance and reduce pain and fatigue in the legs.
Each orthosis is created based on a detailed professional assessment by a graduate orthotic engineer in collaboration with doctors and physiotherapists. When designing, we take into account the muscle strength, range of motion, therapeutic goals and daily needs of the individual.
Types of Orthoses
There are many types of orthoses in the world of lower limb orthotics. There are three basic categories of orthoses available, with the doctor determining the type of orthosis based on the medical records and the individual’s needs:

Supramalleolar orthosis (SMA)

Ankle and foot orthosis (OGS)

Knee, ankle and foot orthosis (OKGS)

Orthosis for hip, knee, ankle and foot (OKKKS)
The main groups are further divided according to the condition, gait pattern and goals of therapy. The orthosis can have a stability function. In this case, it does not allow movement in the joint or allows it only to a very limited extent. The purpose is to provide support, protection or complete immobilization. Flexible or dynamic, which allows controlled movement and has a built-in joint that allows natural movement and helps maintain a more fluid and stable step.

MOOR orthoses combine modern technology, biomechanics and comfortable use.
For more demanding cases, we use ankle joints with the option of locking for additional stability, dynamic designs for free movement, or even waterproof models, suitable for everyday use and greater freedom of movement. Modern systems include advanced joint mechanisms and options for precise adjustment, which allows for perfect adaptation to the individual and reliable operation at different levels of activity.
The combination of lightweight and durable materials, thoughtful design and precise manufacturing ensures reliable use.
With an individual approach, we get as close as possible to the needs of the individual. Therefore, each orthosis is created as a combination of appropriate design, materials and technical solutions.
The effect you feel
A well-fitted orthosis restores a sense of control over movement and with it confidence in carrying out everyday activities.
Movement is more than a step
– it means freedom
We don’t fix walking.
We create conditions for better movement.
Orthoses are not limitations.
They are the key to more possibilities.
